So, you’ve just booked a session with an expert on Topmate. But life happens—maybe something came up, or you simply changed your mind and can’t make it. No worries! Here’s a simple guide on how to cancel or reschedule your session without any issue.

Cancelling a Session

You’ve made your booking, but now you realise you can’t attend. Maybe your plans shifted, or you just don’t feel like attending it anymore. Whatever the reason, cancelling your session is easy:

  1. Check Your Inbox: Start by opening the booking confirmation email you received from Topmate.

  2. Message the Expert: Inside that email, you’ll see an option to message the expert. Use this feature to let them know you’d like to cancel the session.

  3. Expert Takes Action: Once the expert receives your message, they can cancel the booking on their end. The best part? Your booking amount will be automatically refunded. It usually takes 3-5 days to reflect in your bank account.

Important Note: Keep in mind, the decision to cancel lies entirely with the expert. Topmate doesn’t have control over this part, so be sure to communicate clearly and respectfully.

Rescheduling a Session

Can’t make it at the original time but still want to keep the session at some other time? No problem—rescheduling is just as simple:

  1. Head Back to Your Email: Just like cancelling, start with the booking confirmation email from Topmate.

  2. Request a Reschedule: In the email, there’s an option to request a reschedule. Click it and ask the expert to reschedule your session.

  3. Wait for Approval: Once the expert approves your request, you’ll be able to select a new time that works better for you.

Pro Tip: Be sure to make your rescheduling request as soon as possible. The sooner you reach out, the more likely you are to find a new time that works for both you and the expert.
