Topmate Payout Guidelines
To ensure a smooth and transparent withdrawal experience, here are a few important things to keep in mind.
Indian Bank Transfers
95% of withdrawal requests are processed and credited within 1 hour.
In some cases (due to bank downtime or third-party issues), it may take up to 48 hours.
Please wait at least 48 hours before raising a query.
Payouts will be delayed on Indian bank holidays, as no settlements are processed by our banking partners during this time.
International Transfers
For international bank accounts (anywhere in the world) or PayPal, the payout is processed within 7 business days from the time of request.
First-Time Withdrawals
Your first payout can be initiated only once 7 days have passed since your first paid booking. This waiting period allows us to complete the necessary verification checks and helps protect the platform against fraud.
Once requested, your first payout is processed within 7 business days.
From your second payout onward, withdrawals are instant for INR and processed within 7 business days for non-INR (international) withdrawals.
Payout Review
Every payout request goes through a series of automated checks. Some requests may be placed in manual review, which is cleared within 48 hours.
✅ Tips for Faster First-Time Verification
(These are recommendations, not guarantees.)
Add your Topmate profile link in the bio/description of your LinkedIn, Twitter, or other social profiles.
Ensure the name on your Topmate profile matches your bank account or PayPal account name.
Avoid using aliases or fake names on your Topmate profile.
✅ International Booking Transaction Charges
There is no change to INR payments — they continue at the same fixed rate of 2% per transaction.
International (Non-INR) Payments
We’ve moved from a flat fee to the actual fees charged by our gateway partners (Stripe and Airwallex):
Example — €100 (EUR) on an international card: base €2.60 + $0.30 ≈ €2.85, + 1.5% = €1.50, + 0.3% = €0.30 → total ≈ €4.65.
Minimum transaction fee is $1.
GST on Topmate’s Fees
Important: GST is charged only on Topmate’s fee — never on your sale price or your earnings.
Topmate’s fee is the small percentage we take from each booking (commission + transaction charge). GST is a tax on that fee alone. Add-ons like recording or AI-Assist already include GST, so nothing changes there.
The rate depends on how the booking was collected:
Indian (INR) payments → 18% of our fee
International payments (Stripe, Airwallex, PayPal, PayGlocal) → 9% of our fee
Example — a ₹1,000 booking (Indian payment)
That ₹21.60 is collected by Topmate and paid in full to the government — we keep none of it. In your Payments ledger, the fee is shown with GST already included, alongside the note “Inclusive of GST. Topmate plays no role in government taxes.”
GST Number & Your Monthly Tax Invoice
If you are GST-registered, add your GST number under Settings → Payments.
At the end of every month, we automatically email a consolidated tax invoice to creators who have added a GST number — carrying your GSTIN, so you can claim this GST back as Input Tax Credit (ITC).
No GST number? No action is needed — GST still applies to our fees and is shown in your ledger, and you can request an invoice anytime by writing to support.
