Sell session recordings

At Topmate, we believe that monetising your knowledge should be easy peasy. That includes enabling different ways for you to offer your services. We do the hard work so that you can focus on doing what’s important, sharing your expertise!

When you do a 1:1 session on Topmate, your customers often want a recording of the session. This allows them to review their learnings later.

And it allows you to sell the recording as a value added service.

How session recordings work for you

You can enable session recordings with just one click from your Topmate profile. Please note that session recordings are turned on by default for the experts.You can find it in your profile section as shown below. 


You can set a price for your recording sessions, depending on how much you want to charge. 


Do note that there is a fixed charge that Topmate will charge you for each recording. Since recordings actually cost a ton. So we suggest pricing your recordings above the Topmate price, but not too high that no one would buy.

Once you enable Session Recordings, an AI bot will join your 1:1 sessions and record the session.

Your customers will have an option to choose whether they want to purchase the recording at the time of booking itself.

If your customers choose to buy the recording, both of you will get the session recording and transcript at the end of the session via an email.

Session recordings can help increase your earnings all while providing extra value to your customers.

You can also completely switch off the session recording option if you do not wish to sell the recording at all as shown below.

How session recordings work for your customers

Once your customer adds a session recording to their purchase and completes the booking, the session recording is enabled for the session. 

At the time of session, our AI bot will join your Zoom or Meet meeting to record the session. 

After completion of the session, the session recording will be sent to both of you within 1 day.

In case you don't allow the AI bot to join, the recording amount will be refunded to the customer on their request.

We use an AI bot to record the sessions. Please allow the bot to join your sessions to ensure seamless recording. If you don't allow the bot, your session will not be recorded and it may cause dissatisfaction with the customer.

We use an industry leading tool to record your session and generate the transcripts. We do not store any personally identifiable data from your recordings or transcripts. Read more about our privacy policy here.
